As Season 4 of Overwatch 2 got closer, players were getting antsy because Blizzard hadn't even given a hint about the new hero. But Lifeweaver was made official earlier today.

Lifeweaver is the ninth support hero to be added to Overwatch 2. His abilities are meant to fit in with the game's current style, which is more aggressive and mobile. Support players have been having a hard time keeping up with charging tanks without getting killed right away, but Lifeweaver's rumored abilities could change that.

Lifeweaver Abilities

Lifeweaver has a very unique set of skills that combine being mobile with being able to heal a lot of damage. When playing Lifeweaver, it will be very important to be in a good spot to keep your teammates alive and mess with the enemy. Here's what people say he can do:

  • Passive — Parting Gift: On death, drop a gift that heals the first person, enemy, or ally, to pick it up.

  • Primary and Alt Fire — Healing Blossom / Thorn Volley : Hold to charge a healing burst. Release to heal a targeted ally. / Rapidly fire a spread of projectiles.

  • Petal Platform: Throw a platform that springs upwards when stepped on.

  • Life Grip: Pull an ally to your location, protecting them as they travel.

  • Rejuvenating Dash: Dash towards your traveling direction and lightly heal yourself.

  • Ultimate — Tree of Life: Place a tree that instantly heals allies upon sprouting and continues healing periodically as it lives.

Lifeweaver Release Date

Overwatch 2 players are eager to get Lifeweaver, but they will have to wait until April 11, when Season 4 comes out. If you don't want to pay to get the new support hero, you'll have to work your way through the battle pass. The Overwatch community doesn't like this new change, but it's likely to stay in Season 4.

Who Is Lifeweaver, anyway?

Lifeweaver is from Thailand, and his love of and respect for nature, as well as his advanced biolight technology, make him stand out. This cutting-edge technology is woven into all of his abilities, and it is a key part of his healing and utility skills.

Lifeweaver has a unique way of playing that adds a few new game mechanics. The way he looks now is the result of many different teams' work, including concept art, hero design, and story. In one of these pieces, there is an older doctor who, like Moira's Coalescence, draws healing energy into his hands and blasts it into his allies.

One thing I know for sure is that I'll be posting a guide on Lifeweaver in a few days once I get my hands on him, and will be using it for my Overwatch 2 rank boosting clients when they ask for a boost on a support role.
